Geocel proflex for vertical reseal
Around windows doors and corners. I can't find the RV proflex but I did find proflex windows and doors.
Thoughts? Should I or no

Does it appear to be the same stuff? My dealer swears by pro flex. The parts counter guy tells me how good it is every time I buy it ...lol

In my research... Geocel has several different sealers targeted for the R/V transportation industry. I believe them to all be superior products.
When looking for a sealant to touch up a few spots on my Flagstaff, I contacted the manufacturer and asked what they used and if I coud get some.
They sent me a tube of Geocel 2300 MHRV sealant saying this was what they used at the factory.

To be honest I don't know for sure, but maybe it's too thin (like you aren't applying enough).
My only experience is resealing a light and a seam on my slide. I was told by my dealer to put as much as I could on there without making it look ugly or extreme pooling. In my two uses I was pretty liberal with it and it was still in pliable and in good condition 1.5 years later.

Thanks allot for replying. It is really funny you should say that as I just took of the really thick bead that also cracked and replaced it with a thin one because I worried about or trying the opposite. The factory original, which actually lasted about 18 months compared to my 1 month, was thinner still.
One thing you mentioned is that yours is still pliable - mine got hard and then cracked?

Correct, I had it on their for 18 months (traded the trailer in) and it was still squishy/pliable up to the day i traded. The top slide seam was still pliable/squishy/soft same as the front light. This is what I used.

Was the sealant out of date? I have noticed that some of the RV dealers around me don't refresh their stock and have seen tubes a couple years out of date. I had to buy some in a pinch and while I was able to apply it, it dried and cracked after a few months.

An update for me.. the only area I've seen any cracking in is in the front of the trailer between the front panel and the sides on the corner and around the window. I'm a little frustrated by that but it did work a lot better than the Dicor Non-Sag I'd used previously.
The corner seam is actually really thick there and will require a lot of work to fix. The front around the window (which was thin) will as well. I didn't see any difference between the two so it doesn't make sense that it cracked.
The Sealant itself is in really good condition. Not dried out or anything.. just is cracked.

Awesome info Thank you!, my worst spot is arounf the fridge vents...I can only assume that in this spot there is more than the normal amount of movement. This helps me cause I was going to try Dicor no sag although i suspect that that was what came from the factory and it had cracked and split everwhere...but first split was in these vents My next tube might then be 2300 geocel as recommended by another member. It is supposed ro be more flexible and possibly better with the temperature swings we see up north...Kevin
