How to repair a small tear in roof skin on PUP?

Hi,
I searched for this but keep coming up with repair on rubber or fiberglass roofs. My 03 freedom PUP has a white textured aluminum skin on the top, at least that's what it looks like.
It has a small tear about 1/2" to 3/4" long, it looks like something fell on it and ripped it. It's just a little slit that is exposed but it looks like some water could get in there. Also it must of just happened because I have never seen it before so it hadn't been out in the bad weather yet.
What's the best way to patch it?
Thanks in advance, Alan

For that small of an area, I think I would just use some Dicor caulk. If it is aluminum, it might be good to drill a small hole at each end of the tear to keep it from spreading due to stress.

A scab patch of Eterna-bond would work as well.

I got mine here:
Eternabond RoofSeal Roof Repair Tape, RV Roof Repair Tape, Miracle RV Roof Tape

There is a thread here about how to apply it. At a Minimum you must also buy a can of eternabond Primer (basically acetone spray).
