How water proof are ADCO covers?

This is my first year with a new TT. To protect my investment I purchased a ADCO cover. My concern is how water tight will this cover be. Being concerned with my trailer being locked up and covered for the winter I decided to leave the roof vent open and a side window up about 3 inches. I am not worried about the roof vent since it has a plastic housing over it but somewhat worried about the open window. Will the cover prevent the winter elements from entering through the open window?

The covers are more "water resistant" than "water proof". I imagine it would be likely that the wet cover could stick to the screen and provide a wicking path for water into the interior.
I don't leave anything open to the outside. Even open roof vents allow moisture laden air in.
If moisture is a concern, you'd be better off putting desiccant inside the camper.

I keep all windows and vents closed as well. The covers are not at all water proof. They are breathable, so they and the moisture under them dries out. I think the UV protection they provide is the biggest benifit to using one. My .02

I think you are fine to leave the vent open. Probably depends on the climate where you live, but I have seen several recommendations to leave the vent and a window cracked for air movement, with the idea being to prevent moisture from building up inside. On ours, I left one of the windows cracked open as well, but it is one of the tilt out windows open maybe an inch and its under cover.

The Aquashed cover is more water resistant than the Tyvek cover.

Yeah I agree I would not leave the vents or window open. My luck would be water would find its way in and ruin my TT. I just bought my first TT in August so I opinion my not count. I bought the same cover and it has been on there for a month now and the other day I went and checked on it after 4 inch snow storm and I didnt notice any moisture on the inside of my TT. There is a lot to learn about TT I just hope I don't screw something up that cost a lot to fix. I hope you guys can help me out down the road when I run into any questions.

I know this reply is coming in a little late. We have the Tyvek version and are very satisfied with it. We clean up the trailer real well before covering it and it will look spic and span when we uncover it in the spring. We have covered roof vents so we do leave those open. One area of concern are the gutter downspouts. If you have the downspouts that stick out 3-4 inches on the corners you want to get you some tennis balls, punch holes in them and stick them on the downspouts. Otherwise, the downspouts will wear holes in the cover during the winter.

tennis balls are a great idea!. I used short pieces of a pool "noodle" that I then "butterflied" and secured with duct tape.

I like the pool noodle idea. Punching holes in tennis balls can be risky to the fingers.
