Installing Easy Grab Handle

Good morning all. Purchased a second "easy grab handle" (sorry for terminology) (larger D shape exterior handle for entering and exiting TT). My CC has one for the main door but we have one of those silly small plastic "suitcase" handles on the bedroom door. Question is...should I expect any surprises when I install this new handle? What about the framework that I will be going into? Thank you.

It somewhat depends on the brand of D-handle you bought.

I bought one on Amazon, and it has been a little disappointing to us, and may require some customizing to be "right".

What did you buy?

Well Pop, my wife bought the Lend-a-Hand by Stromberg-Carlson. I just finished installing it. Including drilling the 1/8" pilot holes I think it took me 15 minutes. It actually matches the original that was installed by the factory on the living room door. A much needed change over the little grab handle that was quite honestly useless.
