ladder - what do you suggest
Last weekend when the awning wouldn't retract we used the OSHA approved step stool perched on top of a picnic table.
Now I am wondering what a good ladder would be. Light weight, folds flat, telescopes? height? (our unit is 12'6"). Any suggestions on what to get or what to avoid?
Awning still won't retract on it's own which I guess is another post.

5' compact step ladder.
Closes up to 3-1/2 inches by 3-1/2 inches by 61 inches long. This ladder will fit inside the rear bumper.

very clever ladder
We don't have a bumper to put it into but it's really quite clever. I'll have to look at the dimensions and see if it will fit inside the rear compartment.
Are these sturdy? Support lots of weight?

The ladder weighs 13 lbs and is rated for 225 lbs .
Some owners have attached a 4"X4" White PVC fence post to the trailer frame or inside a storage compartment. The PVC fence post are sold at Lowe's and other hardware stores.

Now that's cool Mike. And not a bad price either. I think I even come in under the weight limit by almost 10 lbs! I like the fence post idea for storage too.

I believe they sell them in 7' also.

THOSE FOLD UP LADDERS ARE good. We carry a 6ft'r but I have found out that we needed a larger one to reach the sides of the RV. So winter comes and we head south to Florida, we carry an 8 ft ladder hooked to our rear roof ladder. saves a lot of stress waxing the Rv and cleaning the front windows of our motor home.

I have never seen a ladder like that, that's wild I might get one just to add to my tool collection. I have a ladder on the back of my camper so there is no need to carry a second one.

how high does it actually reach though? If i carry a ladder I would hope that I could get on the roof in an emergency. This is great for space I'm just curious about reach.

The total reach depends on how high you can raise you hands over your head to work safely.
Remember, for safety purposes, don't stand on the top rung of the ladder.

I can get on the roof of my Rockwood w/ an 8 footer. If I can't reach it w/ a 6 footer, not much point in buying 1.
BTW Jas, what's a ninja beagle?

the ninja beagle can escape his crate, sneak past a 3' baby gate, break through not 1 but 2 radio shock towers, 6' of electrified "scat mat" floor and get under the bed all undetected.

THAT is one cool ladder.
I think the 6 foot single sided one will fit perfectly in my rear bumper.
It folds to just 3 1/2 inches by 3 1/2 inches by 73 inches long
