I recently had the Lippert Step recall performed on my 2013 Coachmen Mirada 35DL by General RV in North Canton, OH. The steps will no longer close fully, they now extend past the edge of the coach when closed, and now are only about two inches above the ground when extending!!
General RV swears that repair was done correctly. I called Lippert to complain and was told that if I was not happy that they would give me a $200 credit towards new steps. I asked General RV to quote the steps and they came back with $537. When they checked with Lippert they are now saying that the $200 credit would only have applied BEFORE the recall was performed!!!!
Has anyone else who had their steps "repaired" seen similar issues? Has anyone else been offered the $200 "credit" and then had it rescinded after the repair was completed?
If this is the kind of service I can expect from Lippert moving forward I certainly am not going to replace the steps with Lipperts. Is there a good alternative out there?
Thanks as always for your help!!!
