MaxxAir Roof Vent Covers

I'd like to add a couple MaxxAir Roof Vent to my 2010 Surveyor 294.
My question has to do with the color.

There are White ones that match the color of the camper and Smoke colored vent covers (along with several other colors).

Is there an advantage or disadvantage to certain color choices?
If you want more sunlight in a dark trailer, do you use the smoke color?
Are all of the colors translucent enough to still allow light in?

I'm curious and I'm interested in your expertise before I make a purchase of 2 covers.

Thanks!

We use two of the regular ones and one of the larger one (bathroom vent with Fantastic fan) and all of them are white. Don't really think that any color will have a significant affect on allowing light in as the vents are primarily for air circulation and not as a "skylight". The big advantage of the Maxxair vent covers is that the roof vents can be left open all the time without fear of rainy days.

There are several colours to choose from. I like white personally because it doesn't attract the heat like a smoked or dark coloured cover would. I also would go for the maxair 2's as they are hinged and have 50% more vent area (now I sound like a salesman ). To all there own, go for whatever suits your fancy. Installation is quite simple, just don't drop the drill on the roof and make sure there is nothing sharp on your shoes!

I have two originals and one maxair 2 over the fantastic fan in the bathroom. This allows me to create a breeze in the trailer even when it is raining. These things should come standard on every trailer.

I just bought the Camco vent covers from the rv store by my house, they are just like the Maxxair only they were $10 cheaper. Will hopefully get them installed this weekend. They are white.

We had a dark one put on the bedroom vent thinking may make it darker for when you need to sleep in but doesnt really make much difference

I painted the vent cover, in the bedroom, black. Then installed the Aero-Flo vent cover. The sun not peek through no-mo.

Our new-to-us trailer has MaxxAir install on all three vents(living, bath & bed room). I'm going to remove all three to clean and seal(with Eternabond), paint factory covers and reinstall the MaxxAir covers.

Photos later.

we have two of them
they were white
then i found some plastic paint that compliments the coach colors and painted em,..

they add a bit of ambiance to the kitchen
the fantastic vent is clear so the light cranberry colored vent throws a nice mood
