MaxxAir Turbo/Max vs Fantastic + MaxxAir2

I want to install covers and a 2nd fan in my 2nd roof vent. I can order another Fantastic Fan, and install a Maxxair 2, or I can get one of those MaxxAir Turbo/Max and kill 2 birds with one stone. Anyone use these yet?

Also, if I go with the Turbo/Maxx, would it look funny if I put a MaxxAir2 on the bathroom vent? Or should I go with the non fan version like the TurboMaxx, called the fanmate?

If you go with the Turbo/Max I would suggest the one with the T-stat. I don't think it would look funny at all to mix the Turbo/Maxx and MaxxAir II.

Hey wis, thanks for the tip. Doing some amazon shopping, I discovered the manual (non remote) maxfan deluxe is $220 and the Turbo/max is $235. I know the deluxe needs the old one removed and an install kit for the new one which will make the cost about even. My concern, I never taken out a roof vent. I have replaced broken covers in the past. Is it that hard of a job.

My camper came with two FanTastic vents and a FanTastic vent cover on the rear vent. I had the dealer add a Fan Mate 850 to cover the front vent. The vent can’t open as high with the Fan Mate 850 covering it. The dealer recommended putting on the 850 rather than the Maxx Air vent cover (they didn’t carry the FanTastic Vent Cover. I’m not exactly sure why they preferred the 850 to the MaxxAir but I do know the price was slightly higher. Cynical thinking would tell me it was all about money but I’m convinced there was another reason (possibly won’t raise as high). I can take a picture of what it looks like with two different vent covers on top if you are interested. It’s not an eye sore but if you are interested in symmetry it definitely is not that.

That picture would be great. With the warm weather coming, it would be nice to have 2 working fans. Mod of the day, put a double switch in the bathroom. One for the fantastic, one for the light. That way, my girls 7yo can turn off the fan when she flushes without shutting off the light.

Vent Covers

I ordered my vent covers through Camping World. $20 for the vent cover and $50 a piece for the fantastic fan covers. I did not see any bad reviews on the vent covers. They were half the price of Maxxair2 and the Maxxair fanmates. They installed easily and look good. There is a video of them on the website. FanTastic Vent - Home Page

Here is the view from above. The fact that they are different is probably not a big deal. Just overthinking n my part. If I could make a change I'd love that one of them blow in. Right now they are both suck out only.

Thanks for the photo. I think I am going to go turbo/maxx on the front and maxxair ii or fantastic cover on the rear. I know it is more than the maxxair deluxe, but by time I add the installation materials, the turbo/maxx is ahead. Also, with the fan outside, I bet it is quieter.

I did my bathroom fan mod today as stated in an above post.
