I have a Work and Play toyhauler with the aluminum roof. I’m considering applying a coating of Henry Tropi-Cool White silicone roof coating to reduce heating from the sun.
Can anyone share their experience with this? I’m wondering how much benefit to expect, and if there are any negative issues to consider.
I’m thinking it’s a win/win situation but I’m open to opinions.
I don't guess a lot of people have used this. I don't think it would help a whole lot. That aluminum roof reflects a lot of heat anyway. Not as much as white, but a good bit. At $250 for 5 gals, I'm not sure it'd be worth it to me. Now if you had a dark roof, I'd reconsider it.

I had a cargo pro trailer with a flat single sheet of aluminum roof that I used as a boondocker a few years ago. My assessment at the time was that those coatings do not do much to block the heat, they just add weight to the trailer. So what I did was use a product called "Heat wave Pro" from a company called Second Skin Audio. It's a double foil faced product with a denim type material sandwiched in the middle. I put this in-between the rafters of the ceiling and covered it with 1/8" thin board. Unless you put something like this inside the ceiling, I don't think the gains from topical treatments will do much for you. This blocked a fair amount of heat and I was happy with the results.
Another option if you can't insulate properly, is to try and cool with an AC or humidifier.
