Mini Lite 2304 - Roof ?

Hello,

I'm thinking of buying a used 2304, it has a ladder on the back.

When I climbed the ladder to look at the roof, I was surprised that the roof was covered in some rubber/plastic stuff (is this normal, or seller hiding something)? I thought the roof would be the same as the outside walls.

Can someone please expand on my observations?

The roof will not be fiberglass if that is what you were thinking. It will have a plastic type cover on it.

plus all the seams will be covered in Dicor.

not sure what TT has roofs that look like the filon sides. nearly all i know of have a rubber roof.

I recently purchased a Rockwood mini lite 2304 this is the one without a slide. I contacted the company that makes the roof, Alpha Systems, to inquire how to repair the roof. The roof is a TPO, so it has an orange peel look. It is a rubber type roof. If you need to do repairs, Alpha Systems recommends using Eternabond for any cracks or holes followed up by Dicor self-leveling or non self leveling caulk. Hope you find this informative.

Also, let me clarify, I'm talking serious crack where it is broken through the rubber ceiling. I'm assuming small holes can be mended just with self-levelling or non self leveling Dicor..

I would think twice about purchasing this TT. If it has, as you say, a serious crack in the roof there will be serious water damage somewhere on the inside. Fixing the crack in the roof may be to late, the horse may have already got out of the barn (so to speak), the damage may already be done.
