Moldy in Seattle

This spring (lack of) has resulted in mold on my new (used) R-Pod. Although kept under new cover all winter, after scrubbing it off for our maiden voyage this weekend, black mold spots remain, but only under the caulking at seams, and mainly along the roofline. I know they're under as I can push the edges out with my fingernail. Has anyone dealt with this before? I'm hesitant to use bleach/wet & forget, etc. for fear of damaging the clear coat finish. Does this mean a total removal and re-caulking of seams? Appreciate any input you can share! Photos attached.

I've been wondering if a cover might hold in moisture and lead to mold.

Wow. Have you tried dabbing the caulk with a rag containing Clorox? I know from experience that even acetone will not damage gelcoat, as that is how I remove decal glue on our rigs, so I can't imagine Clorox would either. You would just have to rinse thoroughly and rewax afterwards.

And mold in Seattle doesn't surprise me, even the sidewalks mold out there. But I do agree with Eric that a cover would promote mold growth in an environment like Seattle.

Live in the greater Seattle area, on our 4th trailer, never covered, never mold.
