More or less same as me. By spring maybe I'll have an extra panel and have the ambition to swap battery and propane tank locations for 2x 6 volt batteries.

So do you have picture of the aluminum rails? Did you put a support in the middle of the panel to keep it from sagging and flat? Or is the channel not 1" high?

I'm going with 3m dual lock tape and screws, if the adhesive is removable with a little effort. They hold tarps on truck loads with this stuff. Just have to do a test on the rubber roof.

our 2017 Roo23ikss came prewired for solar. So do we still need the controller? thinking the flex panels are best as well.

Yes. "The solar-ready" input is usually just an extra set of wires to the battery. You have to supply a regulated input.

Mounting Solar Panels on Roof of Rockwood/Flagstaff TT

Solar ready is wired for a portable Zamp unit. I have an 80 watt one, it's hardly more than a trickle charger. The port is on the side wall of my camper toward the front. Is that what you were referring to? Unless you get a 200 watt portable for the ground, they will not be much help. These units are expensive, and heavy to move around every time. They have their own controller attached.
