New Vibe 6501 - stress cracks already!

Hello all ... New to the forum and rv'ing in general. Couple months ago we purchased a new 2012 Vibe 6501. Other than the shower drain separating the first night of camping resulting in some minor flooding, we love it. We already took a trip to Disney and a weekend trip to a local theme park. This is where it gets interesting, upon our return from our second trip we noticed that the fiberglass nose piece on the front of the rv above the tow area already has small stress cracks on both bottom corners. We have never towed with any weight in the nose, have only driven on paved roads, and have made sure that we travel very light (approx. 200 lbs gear, empty tanks etc.) Has anyone else experienced this? It looks like the metal plate that runs across the front between the tow area and the fiberglass nose piece may he pushing up into the bottom of the fiberglass nose piece. Would love to hear any input on why this may be happening.

Hello, and to the forums. Hope you enjoy the stay, and learn a lot, and can teach others what you already know. Sorry to heat of your problem, and while I can't help, someone will be along shortly. Regardless of what is said on here, I would be taking pictures, and emailing them to the dealer. this will give both a record of when this was noticed, and a warranty time to get it repaired.

Hello Windrider and thank you for warm the welcome! I completely agree with you. I contacted our dealer as soon as I saw the cracks. They are unfortunately 6 hours from us so we are going through a local dealer for repairs. They are just waiting for a response from Forest River on how they are to proceed with the repair. I know that the warranty will cover the repairs but my concern of course is that what is causing the cracks in the first place? I am sure that if it is just repaired I may be looking at the same problem down the road but will not have the warranty to rely on.
