Not too spiffy...

As a result of our warm (hot) summers, what I figure is melting caulking around the windows has formed hard "drips". Short of a razor blade and the good opportunity to permanently damage the surface, how do I make these go away?

I just used a utility knife and some caution. Then I used gas to clean up

Mineral sprites or kerosene on a rag should remove the caulking. Don't use a tool to remove the caulking it will damage the unit.

Mine did this under the door. I used some Awesome cleaner... Came right off

I agree that the knife can do damage so if cleaners work it is best to go that route.

Iwannacamp, I got the all-purpose Awesome. It's very concentrated. What ratio did you use and exactly how did you apply it?

Hmmm. This is Arkansas... The stronger the better. I just sprayed out of the bottle. WD-40 would prolly work too, but my trailer is metal I am not sure about fiberglass.

If it's semi-pliable caulking, I would think that a plastic scraper or putty knife type of tool might help without damaging the underlying surface.

Use caution with some cleaners. I have learned the hard way with past TT when i damaged the paint on a metal sided units with the cleaner Don't let the cleaner dry of stand on the unit to long use caution.
