Protect All or Mcguires?
[Moderator note: post moved to its own thread]
I love all the feedback, but can someone tell a newbie with a 2005 19ft Surveyor hybrid what to use to clean the mild black streaks then what wax or protectant to use on the fiberglass that has some decals, then then roof and the canvas pull outs?
Im leaning towards Mcquires, not sure what flavor or Protect All
Thanks in advance !

It was a bit of hard work rubbing it on then off, but I like the results.

I used Protect-All ONCE. Never again. It left what looked like an oily rainbow film on the fiberglass. I could rub it off, with a lot of effort, but then I think I was also rubbing off any protection that might have been on it.
Back to my old standby. Meguiars RV/Marine #50. A bit of work, but protection lasts a long time.

Meguires Cleaner Wax works great!
I tried Protect-All but I really didn't like all of the streaking.
I do use it on the plastic skirting around the bottom of the trailer and on the spare tire cover.
Anyway....Meguires works really well.

Just my 2 cents.

I just came across the best black streak remover/camper wash IMHO Dr. Bronner's Liquid soap. You can get it at Target just mix it 1 part Bronner's to 4 parts water spray on wet camper and scrub with brush. Happy washing. (Get your Wife to use in the house it will clean just about anything)
