Protecting rain spouts when covering???

We had rain spouts added to the gutters on our Class C purchased this past Spring. Just got an ADCO cover and don't want the cover flapping to break them off. Any suggestions on how to protect them?

Odds are the spouts will trash the cover first.

Pool noodle or tennis balls with a X cut in them are what most use.

We have used the tennis balls based on a post here and in four years neither the cover or downspouts have suffered any damage. Now wish the same could be said for the cover where it met the stairs. Have learned to use an old ladder cover from our previous camper cover to keep it from damaging the new cover any further.

We used the "miniature" tennis balls which come in a 6-8 ball pack. These balls are the type a lot of folks purchase for dog toys. They worked prefect after i cut an X on the end and carefully wedged them onto the rain gutters. Just take some care when putting the cover on so you don't inadvertently dislodge the balls.

My cover came with little bags that go over the gutters much easier to keep on put the tennis balls over the other sharp objects the covers are about 1.5" wide by 5" deep with string to tighten

I have seen some people stick a roll of toilet paper over the spouts.

When covering???

I zip tie foam used to cover pipes to the ends of down spouts. This is more to prevent the down spouts from ripping the cover. Which happened to my son-in-laws cover on their trailer. I like the idea of using pool noodles but I have had difficulty finding when I am closing up the trailer. I use the red pool noodles for protecting heads from low windows and slide out corners.
Good luck!!

I purchased some round pipe insulation the tube kind. I cut small pieces and folded them in half. I used pulled ties to secure them to the rain spouts to protect my cover. I've done it for three years now and have had no problems.

Tennis balls are probably the best solution. Before I learned of using them, I used blue painters' tape wound around the gutters, extended beyond the ends. Stayed secure all winter yet did not leave any glue when removed in the Spring.

Simple the paperwork that comes with the cover should have told you about this issue (very common issue) just take a roll of toilet paper and tape them in place over the ends of the rain gutters and you are good to go with your cover.Happy Camping

Our cover came with the little pillowcase type covers for the downspouts. The case stayed on and the downspout still poked a hole in the new cover. Now we are using tennis balls.
