Protecting roof and a/c from winter snow

What is needed to protect RV roof and a/c from winter snow in Oregon? I've seen some people cover their a/c and some cover their entire roof. Suggestions?

Just leave it, if the snow gets deep enough just brush it off from the load of it, otherwise you will be fine, they are made to withstand that, but no so much the snow load.
