Ripples in roof

Hey all. I picked up a Sabre 36bhq last weekennd. I should have looked at the roof when I took possession, but I didn't. I know, I know. Anyway, the roof has 'ripples' in it. The pictures show it better than I can describe it. Is this how it's supposed to look? Seems like this could lead to problems in the future. Thanks for any guidance.

There is not a wire under there -- is it?

Don't look right.
Could cause problems later?

No. There's no wire. It's at regular intervals as if the roll were flat and roughly 4 feet wide.

Could be an uneven surface with minor membrane delamination which could become a problem down the road. Is the membrane loose or detached from the substrate at these locations.

It is the plywood seams. Mine looks the same. I just keep an eye on it and nothing has changed.

Thanks ProCharger. You are correct. The seams are spaced out exactly 4 feet apart and span nearly the entire camper roof, side-to-side. How long have you been observing this on your roof? Anyone else observe this? It doesn't seem to be causing an immediate issue but I'm pretty concerned about long term impact.

Here are a couple more pictures.

Thanks again.

No, no changes so far but I dont expect any sudden changes. I'm just concerned that the roof wont last as long as it's supposed to. At this point, I think there will be no change until next winter and will hope for the best.

My dealer checked with Sabre who said this is 'normal'. I'd prefer if they said 'not normal, but not a problem' because it doesn't seem normal.

Thanks a lot for checking in and I'll update this thread if there are any changes.

Looks to me like they replaced to roof a some point and when they reinstalled the rubber they didnt pull all the ripples out. this could be an issue. I have seen camper going down the road with a big bubble where air is getting under the rubber roof. If it was me I would get it checked by a dealership.
