Roof problems with Surveyors?

Anyone have information on water problems with the roofs of the Surveyor line? We're looking at the 2008 Surveyor SV 271... Just called a local dealership that sells Forest River but not specifically the Surveyor line. They said that they used to sell Surveyor; however, stopped due to an ongoing issue with leaky roofs. Basically, they said there were so many that they got tired of fixing them. I've looked many places to confirm this, but I haven't seen any complaints about leaking roofs. I asked the salesman that I was speaking with to get some specifics from the service department for me (he's new to the dealership). Please help so I don't make a mistake! Thanks.

We just bought a Surveyor SV291 on August 18th. I hope your salesman was just blowing smoke to try steer you to a more expensive name plate.
We were at a campground on a mountain top in North Alabama when Tropical storm Humberto blew through. We had no problems although we did bring in the awning.

Yeah, that's kinda what we were leaning towards... He recently left one local dealership to work at another, so we were wondering if he was simply trying to rebuild his customer base. It's ironic that he tried to sell us a Forest River product while at his previous dealership (they were a Forest River Flaggstaff dealership), but now he's directing us away from Forest River Surveyor. I've done quite a bit of digging to see if the "significant roof problem" with Surveyors was in fact true and I've truly found NOTHING. However, he's got me spooked enough that I'm probably going to visit the factory for a tour just to ease my mind before purchasing. Thanks.

If you don't like the surveyor I will HIGHLY recommend the flagstaff line.
