Roof Weight Capacity

Any idea how much weight is safe to put on your roof? I have a '12 8528 RLWS and purchased a Wingman but I'm a little leery of climbing on the roof toting 310lbs. I've done some searching and can't seem to find a weight threshold #'s. Thought about getting my son to install it but at 20yrs old, I may not get a accurate assessment of "clearance" as far as the Wingman being added on.
Any help is appreciated.

Its been brought up laying down a blanket or 2 and then setting strips of 1/2 plywood down as a walk way.

I am a 225 er "ish" and I walk on mine.

Seriously, though, the roofs can take a lot of weight and I walk on mine, but Turbo's suggestion with the blankets and plywood is a good way to spread out the weight.

I'm 6'4" and around 300. I walk on mine all the time. Well, I crawl to try to distribute the "load" over a larger area.
I figure that during the assembly process, more than one person is up there at a time. It would take at least two to install the rubber roof. Roof vents, skylights, vents, antennas, etc., has to be installed by more than one person.....I think?

I am considering putting a solar panel on the roof of my Rockwood fifth wheel. What is the construction method of the roof, can I screw into the roof and be assured the screw will hold? I know you have to use a lot of goop to prevent leakage, but will I be screwing into wood, fiberglass, what?

Thanks, I am considering the same and it would be much easier if I didn't have to go from the back to the front, I may see if my neighbor has a extension ladder that I can borrow, I have a 8'er but it's still not enough.

I'm 300 and walk on mine all the time as well. I try to stay away from AC and vent openings. I also try to walk on the cross members. You can see where they go from side to side on your roof.

Inf fact, I have been on the roof with a friend of mine who is 250 and no a single problem.

The ladder is what scares me the most. Mine says 300# capacity but it is a sketchy climb.

I walk on my roof all the time ( 225lbs ). Roof does feel a little soft if walking in between trusses. I walk carefully and try to spread my weight over distance. I have a 33' silverback 5th wheel. I have a friend who weights about 330lbs and he just bought a new trailer last year. He say he will not be going on his roof. Im not sure he would have to worry about getting to the roof, not sure if the ladder would hold up. lol My ladder doesn't seem to like my even my weight.

FYI; The roof capacity on a '12 8528 RLWS is at least 310lbs......that is all
