Rubber seal disintegrating

Washed roof and top of slides on windy day in FL using Dicor recommended products for wash and UV protection. Figure the kitchen slide didn't get rinsed well enough as the crease can hold fluid. Checking slides after wash and rinse, the kitchen slide rubber piece for when slide is closed turned to marshmallow and disintegrated. Called Dicor they said their product is just "soap" and couldn't do that. Read in the forum others have had some bad rubber on one of 2 slides. Not sure if it's defective product or solution. Anyone have this happen?
