Wow...can't believe that question. I see the tops of rigs all the time rolling down the road, and there's a BIG difference between clean ones and dirty ones. Count me on the clean side, please.

So I have a Cherokee 5th wheel without a ladder and had the same question. I called FR and asked the weight limit of the roof. They told me 200# unless I use wood to distribute the weight and then 300#. I asked how they service the roof and they told me they use a special lift or just really little guys. Kind of sucks if you ask me. Even if I was in the perfect picture of health I would be over the weight limit by 25#s. I'm not paying CW to clean it so I have my neighbor (tinny) crawl up there and scrub away.

I had a streak once but not on my RV. I was walking down a dark alley in the middle of the night, uhm, yeah......LOL.

I have had the dreaded black streaks with epdm roofs. I think it comes from the chaulking. I always hated cleaning those. I hope the TPO roof I have now is better. It seems to be so far.

Or it condition the rubber roof as well. I clean and condition mine at the same time twice a year.

So its not about a dirty roof, its about maintenance, and as well to check the seals, etc, etc

IM only 160 lbs mind you, but my manual says I can walk in it as well due to the setup of the roof

Well we have only had ours a few weeks (284BH) but the original owners had it on a permanent site every summer, indoors for winters, but never cleaned the roof. So I'm going to go the Dawn route and see how that work.

I have a30X80 shop for winter months and if the Dawn doesn't get it done once I put it away for the winter I will get a little more aggressive. Also the seals around the slide are moldy so I will get after them too.

Otherwise the trailer for a 2013 is in great shape, all the graphics are good....just a coat of wax over the winter and good to go.

We did upgrade the front TV to a 32" -- the previous owners had removed the rear dinette and installed a permanent bunk there.

A nice upgrade from our little '94 28' Prowler

Well I got up on the roof today and used Dawn and a little bleach with a car wash brush.....not so good. Brush needed to be a little stiffer I guess. But I got started late and knew I would have to wash the exterior when I got done with the roof. I would guess the roof has not been cleaned previously, or at least for quite some time.

So once I get it in the shop I will get up and use a little stiffer brush and 409 or simple green to get the rest off.

But I did get 50% of it off - just not to my liking.

Dawn, bleach, Murphy's, and a stiff brush will never get it as clean as these products by Protectall (cleaner then conditioner). And all you have to do is wipe. No scrubbing, no rinsing, no taking the wax off, no streaks down the side. The brush in the pic was for one stubborn stain. The rest was done with a sponge
