Scare Lightbulb replacement

Scare light burned out and was going to replace the bulb. Got out the collapsible ladder, phillips screwdriver and climbed up to change the bulb. Lo and behold, on this brand new 12 Flagstaff 5er, the dumb jerks at the factory had filled the 4 recesses for the screws holding the lens on with the rubberized caulking. Yep, they completely filled the 4 cavities. Only took 45 minutes to dig the caulking out. Finally got the screws out and spent another 15 minutes cleaning the caulk out of the crosses in the screw heads. I cannot phanthom any sane person caulking these lenses like this. Somebody at Forest River needs to get their cranium removed from their anal cavity.

Going to check the other one tomorrow and if it is the same, I will dig those out before I have to change the bulb. Totally insane.

Are you sure it was the factory and you didn't irrigate (pizz off) a neighbor?

Can understand that, we've had 9 trailers since 1975 and never had a vent cover off. The lens on a light is a little different.

BTW, checked the driver side scare light today and the dumb jerks caulked the screws & cavities full on that one also. Lucky they didn't tackweld the lug nuts on the wheels.
