seam sealant
Going to go over all the seams on the TT, Is the pro-cell that camping world sells the best, or is the flexable siding caulk at the home store going to work? Not against ordering, but I have some of the white siding sealant!

According to most people you should never use silicone sealant on the RV. I agree with them. I use Dicor self leveling sealant for the roof and Dicor non-sag sealant for any vertical surfaces. ProflexRV is a good sealant as well. When recaulking windows the window should be removed and the butyl tape should be replaced. This is the only way to ensure a watertight seal. The same goes for storage doors.

I agree with Bama Rambler. I keep one tube of Dicor self leveling for the roof and one non-sag for every thing else.

Geocel Home Page
Geocel 2300 MHRV is sold to the public under the name Proflex RV.
Look for this product at most Ace, Do-It Best, Trustworthy Hardware, Sentry Hardware, Menards, & Camping World.
A word from Geocel Customer Support:

You do not have to tear out any of the old for the uncured will stick to
the cured beads .

I don't know. I'd at least try to remove as much old sealant as possible before applying new.

I was planing on cutting the dried butyl and running a small bead along the seams like i've seen done with other TT's. The local dealer actually was going to do this to a last years model I was looking at.

Thanks for the link. I've been looking for a good sealant for my windshield. I have a small area that opened where the sealant comes in contact with the rubber around the windshield. I couldn't find anything that would continue to stick to it, even the stuff used by the dealership popped loose. I plan to use a cleaner on the rubber and then the new sealant. I'm glad it comes in black as well. Thanks again, Charlie

I just went to Camping World website and they only have brilliant white which makes me wonder if that is the correct color. The Geocel website has white and brilliant white.

My 2011 392 QBBS was purchased new March , 2010-right off the assembly line to the dealer, then to my perm site. I want to make SURE I stay current on roof maintenance. The roof is rubber. I have been on it a few times. All of the vents, antenna etc appear to be sealed with a fairly heavy /thick sealant. Do you recommend sealing over this before the snow flies this year? If so, with the Dicor Self Levleling Sealant? Same question re the Fiber glass end caps where the rubber meets (on each end), and the sides where the rubber is tucked into the body of the coach? So far no leaks and I plan to keep it that way!
