how long is your bed? If it's a 1/2 ton, probably super short.

That is very odd. With my Reese Revolution and my SB truck the corners of the 5er can't hit the back of the truck since the pivot point is so far back (22" behind the hitch). From the photo you posted, the corner of the 5er actually hit the side pillar of your truck! That leads me to believe that the 5er was pivoting at the hitch and not at the Revolution pin box.
Is yours a true 6.5' SB truck bed or one of those super short boxes?
Did you have the wedge installed properly and the lock out bolts removed?
Who set up the hitch?

I have a 6.5 and even without sliding I can still turn 90 to 90...it just doesn't seem right...can you provide some more pictures of the setup?

6.5' is a standard bed, maybe OP has a 5.5' short bed.

Send a message via Yahoo to bob caldwell
All depends where hitch in mounted in bed....front, over, behind axle. I have an 8' box where the hitch at rest is centered over axle. on a hard turn, the slider only uses 9" of the 18" of the slide......would like a sidewinder for even a little more clearance.

It still floors me that people try to turn that sharp.
It is extremely hard on trailer axles, tires and wheels turning so sharp.
Theres no shame in multiple point turns.

8 foot has always been the standard bed. Then came 6.5 foot short beds. Shorter than that came to be when the crew cab 1/2 tons arrived. 1/2 tons always fall short on bed to keep their payload and GVWR in check, since everyone wants crew cabs these days.

That was my first thought also. It's not like you can turn your truck wheels 90 degrees to come out of that turn.
