So very sorry you had to learn the very hard way, BUT i would contact FR and see what they say, so you do not run into any other issues down the down as to maybe fixing it wrong (new coach and all) As for your ego will not go there.
Hope this helps and Happy camping, P.S. Get a good slider hitch?

Well giantkillerbc I would still stay with my Silverado even if they gave me a new Ram for free. IMO. This is Chevy country & on a quiet night you can almost hear a Ram rust.

Thumbs up Dealer came through...

First off, Big Thanks to everyone who took the time to post (even if it was just to "dig" a little)!!!

After the consensus that the dealer was "lacking" I reached out to them, and sure enough they came through. They acknowledged that they did not tell/show me how the Reese was supposed to be set up. I dropped the 5er off today for repairs, and they sent me to the shop that does their vehicle body work. After getting the body shop to appraise the damage to the RAM they assured me that it would cost me nothing. Man, grace is incredible!

Thanks again!

That's a good dealer, you are lucky you found him to buy from. The reason I bought my Rockwood because of that feature, I just couldn't figure out how you can hit your cab if it set up correctly. The wedge the comes with it is generic, so if that one is not listed or recommended for your hitch I would buy a custom wedge. Makes things alot a easier. Glad there helping you out...

My recommendation would be to drink a bunch of beers or just run away.

Revolution

I have a short bed (6 1/2') The revolution works great, can turn over 90 degrees. Seems like something might not be setup correctly on your unit.

This is true but I have never seen a truck with a trailer be able to turn 180 degrees, wouldn't that put the engine under the 5th wheel. Even if you jack knifed god forbid you still would not be at 180 degrees, unless I'm missing something that could be very well. 360 when I went to school was a complete circle, 180 degrees was a 1/2 circle. But I don't know I guess anything could be possible....

90 degrees to the left from forward and 90 degrees to the right from forward is 180 degrees. No one said anything about being able to turn 180 from the forward.

Why don't you read Post #1 before you make comments, the OP said jack knife NOT ME. And tell your other half OCW the same thing. I wouldn't call going 90 degrees to the left or 90 degrees to the right a JACK KNIFE...

Long story short, I dented my Dodge Ram right behind the left rear door and proceeded to put a pretty good "bump" into the front left corner of our new 5th Wheel (pics included). My question: Can I simply seal it good (my ego won't ever be the same, which is probably a good thing), or do I need something more?
So you don't have to look up what the OP said Mr. Dunn and Mr Caldwell...Thank You I see nothing here that say's 90 right or 90 left, I guess that is your interpretation....PS: that is not called a jack knife.

I consider anything 90 degrees and over as 'jackknifing'.

Don't understand what that has to do with it, but I'm glad the dealer stepped up, things happen.
