skylight question?

I have the skylight in the bathroom in my 831krss. Has anyone has problems with condensation building up on the inside of the skyight? I noticed it the day i picked it up and the guy told me that it was typical of them to build up some moisture in them. He checked to make sure it was sealed well on the roof and said it was fine. I had a skylight in my Puma and it never had any moisture built up in between the skylight. I'm gonna take a closer look at it today and see if i can take it apart from the inside to dry it out and see if it happens again.
Anyone with suggestions?

if yours is like mine, the inside trim/window piece was not sealed. We to built up lots of condensation on the inside window.
i found out it was not sealed when i unscrewed it and it fell out. just a a hole with gasket of seal.
it has a nice foam gasket now.
DW also added a nice piece of foil bubble wrap stuff and wrapped it in a print that matched the cedar creek theme and attatched it to the screws using loops and it now blocks the bright SUN when i sleep late

Eand, we have the same unit as you and have not had that issue. I guess that is a good thing.

I've never noticed condensation in the bathroom skylight. I do know only the upper section is sealed to the roof.

I did something similar to powerbaotr. I remove the inner section and install a piece on thermal material between the two sections. This keeps the bathroom cooler in hot weather and warmer in the winter.

Only once, but my skylight was cracked from a tree falling on it.

well, today i took it apart and dried it out. Screwed it back up and within an hour condensation was building up in it again. It is in direct sunlight and was not raining. I just dont get it.

Could there be a water leak up there somewhere...and it's moist ?

not sure. it was pretty warm yesterday so it didnt seem to be moist.

I have a 06 Cherrokee and althought my skylites are not in the bathroom We have not had any type of problem with them at all Ours are over the dinett and there is 2 of them 24 inches square They even stay nice and clean

Sure sounds like a water leak.
Have you gone over the outside flashing/caulking carefully to be
sure you don't have even the smallest leak up there??

I was having the same problem with mine. When I pulled the inside part off to clean, I noticed that a couple of screws were rusty. A little water from the hose and I found where the caulking was cracked. I used eternabond tape to the cover the edges and haven't had a problem since.
