Does anyone have the solar vent fan on their roof top that's used to draw the smell out of the trailer's black tank..? We came across one at a dealers this weekend and wondered if anyone has one on their trailer. We are considering this unit, we currently have an electric one mounted,(Lil Stanker) but thought that this new solar unit would be a good idea. The electric one has become quite noisy over the past year, so we figured that if we are gonna replace it, solar may be the answer..
Never had the need to use one on a rig yet as the venting seems to work quite well, but solar would be a great way to go. Do these fans just run all the time? I was looking at a solar fan for the cooling unit on the back of the refrigerator to help it cool better in hot temperatures.

just got a flyer from camping world yesterday and the exact same item is in there,,as far as I know, yes, it runs constant, as long as it has enough battery reserve, they also had an item in there for a solar panel for use in refrigerators that you may be interested in...check it out...I do like the idea of solar versus electric
