Spare Tire Cover

FYI, If you have a plactic spare tire cover on your camper from Forestriver, check the tightness of the wing nut. I just notice this this morning, if you look at the bottom right of the pic you will see a crack. I believe I had the wing nut too tight and with the cold weather I think that it cause this problem. The camper is a 2006 and I don't think age is an issue at this time. Keep an eye on yours....

Rockwood06, when I get a stress crack in plastic, aluminum, or even sheet metal, I drill a small hole (1/8 or 3/16 or so) at the end of the crack, making sure that I completely cover the very end of the crack with the hole. The hole relieves the stress, and will usually prevent further "creep".
