Stove vent (exhaust) door
I just arrived home from a camping weekend to discover that the stove vent door is missing. I must've forgot to engage the corner locks before leaving the park. In all honesty I didn't think loosing the door was likely if the locks weren't engaged during travel.
Anyhow, is the door replaceable or do I need to replace the whole vent assembly?
Thanks

We also lost our vent when we left the corner tabs unhooked - never had that problem with our 2000 Terry. Have they redesigned the vents?

Since it appears that you might have to replace the whole vent assy, I would suggest that you make a template out of cardboard and then cut a piece of 1/8 plexiglass to match. Should be a lot cheaper. I intend to attach a lanyard to mine so it cannot get lost.

I lost mine last spring also. My local dealer does not carry the exact replacement vent. I do not like the one they carry. There was a post on this forum about this issue. The poster made a vent door out of sheet metal and a metal rod. I plan on making one this weekend.

Lost mine on my old Cedar Creek coming home from Maine. Made a new one out of aluminum. .060 thick, and just cut the ears on the end. You can flex it to engage the ears in the holes to hold it in place. Never forgot to check it after that, either!

We got to the campground on our 1st trip and found that 1 of the pivot tabs was broken off. Guess we add that to out list of things to get fixed or figured out when we get back home.

This is one of the most common complaints for RVs.
(Maybe not as common as concertone complaints but close!)
I also made one to replace mine after one tab broke off.
I've read somewhere where you can buy the door but you have
to remove the vent to replace it so why not just replace the whole
thing if it's only $5.
OTOH the new one is gonna do the same thing one day unless
you remember to latch the corners EVERY time.
They are made soooooo cheap. The maker could easily beef
up the tabs with a minor change to their plastic die but why
do that when you can sell more when they break.
