Striping falling off and cracked

We purchased our new WJ 3008 in 2012. Last year the plastic striping that covers the screws started falling off to the point where this year about 75% was cracked or missing. I brought 200' last year to replace the striping and finally go to it this weekend. It wasn't a pleasant job, but I got it done. The oddity is that my brother-in-law has the same WJ, only a year older and he has not had a problem with this. I posted this a year or so ago and nobody responded with the same problem. Still happy with our WJ.

Common problem, just part of the "maintaince experience". Replaced the covers on my Lexi's roof twice so far. Roof gets all the sun/uv.
Knock wood the stuff's cheap enough to buy.

Posts fall off Quick so if a Member isnt on the Forum at the time Its Gone! Now in regards to your Insert Trim molding. Last year at the Amana Rally i noticed a New W/J that the trim insert of 1 Slide was broken in Little 1" long pcs. The owner said he never noticed it! MR SUN has a lot to do with the lifespan of Plastic/Vinyl parts on RVs,where and how it is stored/parked ect. Add that the rolls of Insert Trim come in 1000' Rolls and there can be a BAD Roll from the Supplier also you can get results like you have! Ours is still Flexible but Not like NEW it is a 2010! Youroo!!
