We use totally awesome. Used it on old tt with ok results. Tried it on the fiver, again only had it 3 months and couldn't get the stain off the roof. And yes you can get it at dollar General. That's where we got it.
don't know, water comes from the evaporator coil and go's into a drain pan. In other words Condensation. If your getting rust color off the ac water your have dirt or a object some where. Should you have it NO, but it's coming from the A/C as you stated that's where I would look and also could be the bolts holding it down to the roof and leaking at the seal. It could also be in the drain line. I know A/C systems pretty good and that's where I would start. Condensation should be clear. Staining from an new A/C is not normal. See if you can trace the stain back to the unit. Either your going to drip to left or the right, depending on how level you are. If I'm level mine always drips to the right looking at the front of the trailer but it's clear water.

Ok good to know.... it's going back to the factory in a couple of weeks for lots of other issues, I wonder if I should add this one to the pot.

For sure I would, let them trace it down, that is not normal, being a brand new unit. You never know they could have left a galv. bolt or something in the drain pan during install. That rust is coming from something in or around that A/C. I didn't know it was going back, they just might put a whole new unit on instead of dealing with it. It's nothing to them, but a big problem for you. Good luck and safe travels. By the way is yours a Coleman or a domectic?

Both are dometic. The bedroom one is very very very loud. Both AC did the rust stain. That's why we didn't question it until this thread.

I think Dometic has a kit to isolate the noise now, that is really weird that both units are showing rust. something was not installed right. I would diffidently put it on your repair list.

At this point it becomes just another thing for the factory to repair. I don't even get upset anymore, I just add it to the long list of repairs for the factory. It goes back in a couple of weeks so the timing for figuring this out is good.

I have never cleaned my roof with cleaner. Looks like new, it gets a water rinse with the hose or rain. My storage area and at home is open. Might be the snow that washes it clean or the acid rain from the Ohio Valley which we are at the top end of. Our awning, that gets cleaned as it seems to attract pine sap.

Maybe your roof is just covered in a protective layer of pine sap.
