Hi. Looking for suggestions. While in storage a tree has rubbed up against the wall of our hardwall trailer. (likely under wind conditions as the trees were cut back) Looks like the "gloss" has been rubbed off in a spot about the size of a baseball. This would be from leaves and small branches... no scratches are evident ) Was wondering if this will polish out, or whether there is a spot gel/spray that can be spread back on this area.

You should be able to rub it out with some 3m products, you might still notice it because of you knowing where to look but it should come back up if you didn't get into the gel coat itself. I do not know of any gel coat spray, you might try West Marine. Gel coats on boats been here a lot longer then trailers. Even Marine polishes are better, but they will mostly recommend 3m products.
No problem. Go to an auto supply store. Get a pack of 1500grit (or higher) emory cloth, and wet sand the spot and surrounding area, dry, then use the 3M fine cut polishing compound mentioned above, and do a final polish/wax. If it did not cut through the clear coat, it will be good as new. I've done this repeatedly to cars I've restored; learned it from a body/paint guy. Good luck with your repair.
