TT carports
I'm thinking of getting a Carolina Carport for my TT. The height is 11'1" with A/C. The length is 29'. I'm looking at a 18X36X10. Do you think this would fit? Can anyone show pictures of what their comparable TT looks like in heir carport? Thanks.

Great thing about forums is learn from other peoples' mistakes. So let me recommend things I didn't do when I had a carport for our TT.
1. Your size sounds pretty good. The key thing I was looking for was room to put slides out. That's a must.
2. Rain will come in sideways at times. Would it be a big deal to go 40' long instead of 36'?
3. If the sun will be hitting the sides of the camper, think about having the sides covered when they build it. Its not too expensive if they do it at construction. Keeping the TT dry is good but keeping the sun from fading it out is twice good.

You should be perfect with those measurements, especially the 10' leg height.
Just to show ours as an example, we have a 18' ( width ) x 20' ( length ) x 9' ( legs ) and we have plenty of room. Our TT measures 9'11" with A/C. Our Carport center measure 12'.
As you can see we have ours offset on the right, sitting on a cement pad.
Make sure you get the in-ground screw anchors if you are setting it on the ground. They are well worth the extra money. Ours is anchored on 1/2 concrete and 1/2 ground.
Here are a couple pics. We bought this carport from All Steel Carports, for our last HTT, which was a tad shorter, but still works well.

Still waiting after 14 weeks for my carport from Carolina Carports .
I was told by costumer service that there still working on orders from October .
I would find another brand. This company is bad news , check BBB.

I will give my input on Carolina Carports. My opinion only. We had ordered from them, via an alternate company they use ( Elephant Structures ) for outside sales. They were glad to take our deposit and tell us all the good things they do, but their ( Carolina Carports ) delivery and customer service sucked. We ended up forfeiting our deposit and ordered from All Steel, due to the many uncertain delivery dates and lack of communication for the install. Was very disappointing.
In the past we have used Tri-State ( twice ) and also All Steel ( now twice ), and can honestly say I would refer them to anyone looking for a Carport.
As Homebrew stated, the reviews of Carolina Carport are poor. Buyer Beware! JMHO!

Didn't see your posting before I hit the reply button. Good luck with "Elephant Structures", as they are 1 in the same as Carolina Carports.
Maybe you will have better luck than we had.

Just ordered a 24'w x 30'l x 10'h metal carport to cover both my camper and F250. The rear wall will be fully enclosed. the sides are covered to within 2 &1/2' from the ground. I figured having the back fully covered allowed more protection for any given length of carport because I could park closer to the rear and be fully sheltered from the sun. We'll see.

Find anybody other than CC for your carport, the installation when it FINALLY happens is a joke. Also the quality of the metal and welds is what I consider marginal.
Here is ours that we finished covering with metal from a local supplier.

Briorick,
Please post any contact info you may have and re-state dimensions with price, so I have a reference point. PM if you do not want to post openly.
I have been looking real hard and just do not know where to begin. Spooky stuff when you have no experience.
Thanks.

Hey Bob,
Here is the information for you. Maybe sharing will help others to decide as well.
I purchased mine last July from S & K Carports from the Mount Vernon, Il. area, but you can use any "All Steel Carport Dealer" to order from.
I ordered the 18' wide x 21' long ( 20' with 1' overhang, 6" on each end ) x 9' legs. 5' legs are Standard height and I needed to order 4' extra for clearance. That added $200 to the original purchase price.
So the total cost for this setup was $1109.31 ( prices may vary a little by now ). And that's including 3 screw down anchors for ground contact on one side. They anchored the other side into the concrete pad the TT sits on. The Mobile Home anchors, as they are called, ARE NOT included in the price. But well worth the money. If I remember correctly for a set of 6 they are approx. $50 extra.
My TT measures 9'11" with A/C and therefore I have a graduation of 2'1" to rooftop center, equaling 12'. As you can see my TT sits off to the right and I have plenty of rooftop room. It was suggested to get the 18' wide because it has a wider roof span and therefore creates a taller center. Was the best advice ever.
You are welcome to come down and take a look at it when you get a chance. Would give you a better idea with a TT underneath / parked in it.

Thanks for the heads up. I will start bothering the folks at "S & K Carports". That price is more like it. I was guessing between 3k to 4K for my needs prior to this. (Lowes not even considered anymore) LOL.

"Bothering" the folks is good for you if you are doing it in person. Think of them like a car dealer...they want to sell you something before you get out the door and they'll probably negotiate. I worked direct with a local builder and was able to get my carport for $600 less than the Carolina Carport quote...and construction started 7 days after I placed the order.
Your current TT is 10.5 feet high. Your next one might be higher than that. A little extra height, etc., doesn't cost a whole lot more. I got a 20x40 with 11 foot legs (over 14' high in the center) for a final installed price of $2,900 (CC price was over $3,500).

Excellent Point, emm-dee! Something that people should definitely ponder for future upgrades considering the temptations out there.
ALTHOUGH, for us, we purposely have the Carport dimensions we have. This is what keeps us from getting TOO big. Keeps us modest! ( Hmmm, on the other hand, I could lengthen the legs )

We compared product options, price, and warranty between Carolina Carports and Bennett Building Systems. Assuming everything else was equal between the two companies including price, Bennett was the real winner and got our business on the basis of their warranty.
Carolina offers a 30 day limited warranty: 14 gauge units come with a 30-day limited workmanship warranty. 12 gauge carports come with a 20-year warranty against rust through on the frame, assuming normal care and maintenance and the 30-day limited workmanship warranty.
Bennett offers: 10 Year Limited Warranty On all Panels for material defects. 12 Month Workmanship Guarantee. If for any reason you are dissatisfied with the quality of the construction, anchors, welding, attachment, or any other aspect of your steel building within the first 12 months of ownership, Bennett Building Systems will rectify the problem at no cost to you. 20 Year Rust-through warranty on all steel tubing used to support your structure.
We talked to the local Carolina dealer and really wanted to do business with them because we talked to them several times and they were closer to us. After talking to Bennett we went back to Carolina to see if they could match the Bennett warranty. They could not. We placed an order with Bennett for a 24' wide x 31' long x 10' leg height. We added panels to both sides down to 2&1/2' above the ground with a fully framed and covered back.
