Under Roof question?

Has anyone seen this happen on a roof before? I am worried that this is going to cut the rubber and then there goes a few thousand dollars. Can this be repaired with replacing the rubber roof?

Just a guess on my part it looks like when the built the camper they put rounded metal flashing to give it that round look. with out pulling the roof I cant say for sure but I have to get something done.

Just my 2 cents: That does appear to have been a major boo-boo on the manufacturers part. But as we have all learned from this forum manufacturers aren't real picky about quality. Also it appears that whatever is under the roof membrane could/may/might pierce through the roof membrane and cause problems, certainly a leak. The real "fix" at this point IMO would be to pull back the rubber roof membrane, find out what this is, and "fix it". But at this point I would purchase some Eternabond tape and lay tape over this somewhat protruding area parallel to the edge of the roof. That little point that sticks out appears to be ready to protrude through the roof membrane at any time. Good Luck

Same. I’d be apt to slap some Eternabond on it and monitor it.

I talked with a fellow RVer he said his did the same thing a couple years back and when they pulled his rubber back it was as I suspected metal flashing to give the rounded edge, they had stapled it down and over the years and vibrating and twisting or the camper when pulled the staples got loose. maybe I can have the rubber pulled back and refastened without replacing the whole rubber roof, thanks for all the advise.
