Vent fan data

So just installed a vortex II fan in my bedroom and have the fantastic create a breeze unit in the bath and I thought I'd do a comparison FYI. I used a ventilation monitor ( TSI Velocicalc plus), with a storage tub as a plenum and a 5 in hole drilled in it. I figure that the create a breeze would have a much high flow rate with the larger diameter fan blade, but it didn't turn out that way. I'm gonna get another meter from work and repeat the experiment, to see if I messed up, but at this point the create a breeze flow is WAY over estimated in their literature. Neither CO tells you how they measure and rate their fans.

My measurements.

Create a breeze 150 SCFM
Vortex ll 145 SCFM

FACTORY

Create a breeze

Performance: SCFM
High 920

Vortex ll

Vortex Fan Speek 188 CFM (188 CubicFeet per minute).
