Water damage and other why is it always our fault
Bought a new 2007 Wildcat fifthwheel in 2008, been on the lot for about 9 months is what I was told. Nothing but a $30000 problem. First problem shower leaked into my storage area, then shower head broke complete off wall. Sink then started leaking in the kitchen. Next big problem was the A/C kept tripping the breaker, was told it was because I was plugged into a low amp plug??? Went to another park, same problem, so dealer changed out breakers, said it was weak. About a year and half into my ownership of this RV, I noticed a huge bubble on the fiberglass, brought it to the dealer, said it was a maintenance issue on my part, even though I keep my molding, windows and roof caulked and clean, they fixed it for $1743. Will washing my RV I noticed a soft spot on the back end of the trailer, brought it to another RV repair shop, after further invetsigation, whole end of my RV is rotted out, this is after doing everything I can do humanly possible to keep up my RV maintenence. The repair man said that it looked like this had been leaking for a long time, probably several years, possibly even while on th lot at the dealer. But no matter what, it is my fault. Forest River and most all manufactures say the same its your fault, so now I have a $2000 repair that I am stuck with. These companies build nothing but junk, they all cut corners and do not stand behind their products. If these are such good companies than why is there so many people with water damage issues on fairly new rigs. And it does'nt matter if it is an expensive rig or a median priced rig, all use the same crappy cheap materials in all of them. And they wonder why they go bankrupt. Will never buy another Forest River product....nothing but problems.
