Wax question.

We've just purchased a used 5th wheel and I've been reading that trailer should be waxed a couple of times a year. Can I use spray wax with my pressure washer?

I would be careful with a pressure washer on an RV...it can be hard on your decals and there are alot of nook and crannies that you may not want moisture being driven into, and it can be hard on your caulking. I quit using my pressure washer on our 5th. Now just use a hose and a brush.
As far as wax goes, I think you will get better results with waxes that you apply by hand and remove by hand. Some of the spray type waxes work well also, and are alot easier and quicker, making it easier to do more often or in between the more labor intensive wax applications.

I just tried out some wax made by Turtle Wax.Called spray Ice.Worked super easy.Spray on polish off.Did the 5er last week and it removed some bugs that were on there from last falls trip to the west coast.Nothing else would budge them. Did the truck this weekend and man what a shine.

I use the Ice on my RV and boat in between normal waxing. Works great and the more you do it the more the protection and shine comes out.

I have been using Meguiar's G12718 NXT it is easy to use and wipes off very easily. You can leave it on for hours and still get it off. It actually works better if it sits a while. Shines nicely and bugs and dirt clean off easily.

This is the best wax I've ever used. One bottle will do 30' fiver and the tow vehicle. Goes on easy, can do entire unit before taking off. No residue. Sons and neighbors have tried it and love it. If link doesn't work, it's Lane's Car Care Products, Ellisville, MO

Meguire's Marine Wax-made for boats.Put it on with an orbital-and off by hand.
I've got 3 coats on my trailer.It's pricy-$32 per quart but worth it.
It was so good I put it on my F150 too.
Work worth doing-I learned about it on this board.
You won't go wrong with is if you have a smooth sided rig.

Thanks for the wax advice I haven't been to pleased with the last wax product I used. Going to try the Protectall stuff this time.
