Waxing
I’m just curious. Anyone owning a 41 foot fifth wheel wax it themselves? How long does it take you? How often you REALLY do it, and are you 65 or over. They want an ungodly amount to do for you. 400-800$ . Just for the wash and wax. We have had ours 6 seasons. Took me about 9-10 hours to do the whole thing. Not all in one day.

I have a 36ft 5er. It took me probably about the same over the course of a few days. I did it twice this season. It did seem to keep the camper easier to clean. I am not over 60.. And used the NuCar finish wax.

Waxing
I applied Meguiars flagship premium cleaner wax for boats and RVs. Did with hand first and then used a DA polisher with a little more on pad. I still missed a few spots. [emoji849]. It came out great. It Took out the small amount of oxidation in the paint and has a great shine. It was pretty easy to take it off.

Takes me 5 days (my choice to do it that way). 1st day I wash it. Then over the next 4 days, I wax 1/4 of it at a time plus front or rear cap on one of those days (again, my choice).
I use an orbital buffer to apply the wax (allows for more even coverage) and take it off Karate Kid style. I do this in the spring & fall with just washes in between. Either in the spring or fall I will pay to have it washed because they will wash the roof & awning including the slide toppers. But, I always will do my own waxing.
Not 65 yet......is 64 close enough?

Waxing
Hello, I did mine with this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Adam's Buttery Wax. I've used a lot of different waxes over the years(mainly Meguiars), and this Adam's product was really easy to apply/remove. I used my Harbor Freight waxer/polisher for most of the applying and removing. Haven't had it on the RV long enough to give a longevity report, but so far holding up good.

i'm over 65, the 5th wheel is 42 feet, and i use meguiars premium flagship cleaner / wax by hand. i get it done within a week. i basically break it up into sections and i spend a couple of hours per day. it does look good when done but by then some dust will have blow on the sections i did first. i this 2 to 3 times per year; after getting the cover off in the spring, mid summer, and before our big trip in the fall. then there is the furniture polish to put on all the wood inside, but that is another story. how does it collect so much dust?

Mine is 25', and use NuCar finish once a year. The storage lot where my trailer is has no water for washing, so I use a waterless wash initially. Usually takes 2-3 days for the wash and wax. Upper 50's here, and one sore arm afterwards.

My thought is that those type of products have a compromise. Trying to do two things at once. I would still go over it with just wax afterwards. Due to where I keep my trailer, I use the waterless cleaners, which also have wax in them. It can take some elbow grease to get the trailer clean, and I just don't see how the wax would be that great, or be effective for any length of time. That is why I put wax on afterwards. Also, a good wax job will make the next time a lot easier.

Mine is 33 ft. I use Meguire's Flagship on the front cap, and Aero wash wax all on the Azdel.
Like others, I wash one day, and usually take two days to wax so that I'm not waxing in direct sunlight and allow for my morning tee time. I am over 65.

@Quick83: Did this cleaner wax cause any problems for your vinyl graphics?

I plan on using Meguire's Quick Wax, which I use on my 'Vette. Since you don't do the roof, I imagine I'll be able to do the walls in about an hour. My trailer box is not even 18' though. Small is LOVELY.

I've been using the same wax/cleaner for 6 years. Graphics are fine. Good thing as I'm way too lazy to wax around decals and the use something different on them. My electric buffer does the entire surface, decals and all. I have found Maguiars Flagship for gel coats is the best for me. Removes light oxidation and has a nice finish.

I have not had any decal issues yet with it. I will say I do have a slight amount of fade on some of my decals, but I don’t think it’s from the cleaner wax I think it’s just because it’s six years old and I haven’t covered it very much because because Im always working on something on it through the winters.
