What do you use around tail lights, cargo compartment doors, etc?

We have our 2015 2861DS for over a year now. I have 2 rolls of Eternabond tapes that are on order for the roof.

I noticed that the factory sealants around the tail light, cargo compartment doors are drying out (looked like brown putty). What do you use to replace those sealants? Do I have to scrape all of them off, then re-apply? Or do I just apply over the old one? They feel soft (like clay putty) when I pressed on the old stuff.

I already applied clear Pro Flex around my windows. Just wondering what type of sealant and the proper way to re-seal around light and cargo doors.

Yeah that's putty tape.

If the putty is still soft, and the fixtures are still secure, you can proflex around the fixtures just as you did on the windows. Since the unit is only 2 years old, I highly doubt the putty is drying out to the point that it needs replaced.

Protip: After applying proflex, put a couple of drops of dawn dish soap on your finger before smoothing the proflex over. The excess will ball up and not stick to your fingers.

Thanks for this tip. I had a difficult time when I applied the ProFlex around my windows. That thing is sticky.
