What the heck?!!!

So I decided to change my roof vents to the siphon 360 vents. Oh, it's a 2014 Wildcat Maxx 313RE. There are 4 vents, which I thought weird since I only have 2 grey tanks and 1 black tank. I went up today to investigate and pulled the caps off to have a look. One of the vents is to nothing! They actually screwed and sealed a vent on the roof with no pipe or even a hole drilled for one! What is that?!!! Wouldn't you put the pipe through the roof BEFORE putting a vent cap over it anyway?!! Someone help me understand why this vent is there please?

I would understand that aupainter, but there is literally nothing but roof under the vent. No hole whatsoever. I think they made a mistake!

It is to vent the space under the roof. My unit has them at both front and back.

Just a thought. If it was a motorhome the dummy vent would be the place where a sat prewire is routed to for a permanent roof top sat antenna install.

I've also seen vents installed where minor roof damage has occurred, i.e., tree limb dent or antenna relocation.

Narboza, there is no hole to vent under the roof...it's just roof under the vent, unless it was suppose to be venting under the roof and they forgot to make the hole! Penny, I don't see any damage under the vent, but that would be a plausible explanation. Bubbles, even though it's not a motorhome, it would make sense if there was prewiring for something under the roof. Since I'm not curious enough to cut a hole in the roof I'm leaving it alone for now since it doesn't hurt anything being there!
