What wax do you use?
What kind of wax do you folks use for your RV. Particularly for the aluminum sided models. I used some stuff from The Wax Shop called Super Glaze in the past on my old Keystone Cougar (fiberglass sided), but now I can't find it.For a liquid wax, it was about the easiest stuff I've ever used.
My neighbor was talking about Wet Wax. I guess you spray it on after washing while the trailer is still wet, and rub it off while drying and buff to a shine. I guess I'm still old school enough to think that this does not give a goood thick layer of protection. Any opinions.
This new Puma seems MUCH larger and the grooves in the siding are a much bigger PITA. But a small sacrifice in effort to make it last until retirement (I can't even start counting down yet), or at least until it is paid off. all opinions accepted but the first person to suggest WD-40 or Minwax gets a
Thanks,

I personally prefer the old wax on wax off method with most any good paste wax Now when it comes to my camper ,well I have had very good results with the wax that is in with the car wash soap that i use when I wash the camper down It not only ceans it up nice but it really does leave a nice smooth finish

Success with wax?
I'm currently looking at buying an entry level Class A. I'm looking at the Forest River Georgetown and a Fleetwood Fiesta/Terra. The Fleetwood has full body paint but the Georgetown doesn't. I talked to a lady at the dealer last weekend who was buying a new RV because she was disgusted that her fairly new RV was already yellowing. I've seen at least one post which said that all white gelcoated fiberglass will yellow, now matter what you do. I've also seen a post which says you just have to take care of it (no details). Does waxing help? What are your opinions?

Wax helps everything. Find a quality wax with UV inhibitors.

My last trailer was all fiberglass. No yellowing after 5 years of ownership on the fiberglass. There was definately some yellowing on the plastic trims around compartments, and some compartment doors.
I kept it waxed, but mostly just paste waxed once per year...and touched up with a spray wax.
This is what I used for waxing:

I have also used the Gel Gloss and its a very good product!!!
My dealer has switched between the two many times and states that both are the best he can buy for his customers.

RV Wax
I've been using NU Finish in the Orange Container for 5 years. It's not a wax but a treatment. I use it on my autos, boat, and fiberglass RV. It lasts for a full year. Black streaks just wash off with mild soap (Dawn). You can buy it at Wal Mart for about $6.00.
