Windjammer Molding Strips

This summer we noticed that the molding strips covering the screws that hold the molding on was falling off. This striping is on both sides, top and bottom. It seems unusual for a travel trailer that is only two years old. obviously it was due to the sun. I picked up 100' for this job when I was at an RV Dealer in Minnesota. has anyone else had this problem?
