Apparently no one makes a metal replacement. JR industries makes a metal version but it is too small to be of any use.

Mine broke the other day with a .5mph gust. Will replace it with a metal one.

I ended up using the JR industries model. I had to cut it in two places and weld extensions to get it to work. I painted them black and they match the originals. I don't know why they ever made them of plastic to start with.
