Adding Awning Support

Getting ready to add Carefree awning support to trailer. Looking for thoughts in regard to install. As per instructions support should not raise awning tube. I currently have a 21' awning that is sagging almost 2" in center. I would like to level out awning by raising support. Should I raise support and by how much?

I put mine on to just level the tube when closed with no problems in 5 years.
