Additional support on 233s

I purchased a Roo 233s with a power awning. Should I purchase any additional supports or tie-downs for when the awning is open?

I do not use any other supports on my 2013 Roo awning. The rails that support the awning are good enough for most areas. There are supports you can buy if you are concerned about wind. In fact, I believe thee is someone on here who makes them personally and will sell them to you. But I have never run into an awning issue. If the wind kicks up, I roll it up. And I never leave it out when I'm leaving the site for any amount of time where I can't get back to it quickly.

Do a search on "awning support" and you'll find lots of reading. Both OldCoot and Turbs make brackets and poles to support the awning and allow you to leave it out longer. I miss my old manual awning because it came with support poles you can detach from the side of the trailer.
