AE Power Awning ? Model Number

I have a 2008 Rockwood and have a power awning that won't drop so that I can leave it out when it rains. I have read on here that there is a free kit that I can get thru Dometic but need the Model # and have looked everywhere on the arms and can't find it. Any suggestions.

Thanks in advance.

Have you looked through the pile of brochures, warranty information and manuals that should have come with your trailer. There may be something there. Alternatively, fire off an email to customer service at Dometic and ask them for aid in identifying your model number. My guess is that it is a 9100 series awning and that you will have to get the kit through your dealer. Read below.

Hi swanna, look behind the arms where the wiring runs to the motor, the white metal main housing, should be the front one. You'll have to put your head against the camper to see the sticker, but it's there. Your dealer may even have a kit in stock. The same setup is now standard on both sides now, from what I have seen, but you really only need it on one end. Put it on the end without the motor. Randy

I ran into the same problem. I called A&E and they had me measure the brackets that are against the TT. They can tell by the length which kit you need.
Hope this helps.

Roll the awning all the way out.
Looking from the trailer steps, look at the left side of the awning tube.
(The tube the awning rolls up onto)
That's where I found my model number.
There is a sticker there and you might need a short step ladder to see it clearly.

So, what awning did it turn out to be?
