Anchoring awning end sunscreen

When we put the awning sunscreens up it's never been a problem with anchoring the bottoms when on gravel or sand, but I run into a problem here @ Fawn Ridge in Davenport, FL with the level CONCRETE pads and patio. Decided to try something temporary to be able to use the sunscreen to block some of the wind/rain while sitting on the concrete pad.

Went to Lowes and bought (2) 6' pcs of 1-1/2" x 1-1/2" x 1/8" alum. angle and sheet metal screwed them together after fitting them inside the alum channel for the awning arm and adding a stainless steel eyebolt at the bottom. Works so far. When I get home, will cut the angle and weld them together so there is no overlap.
Hold the angles in place with (2) 1/4" quick release pins, one on each side.
