Awning

Is it possible to anchor or tie down the awning on 2016 Salem RKSS?

You need something like Old Coots brackets. I think he may have some left but is not making any new ones. Use painter poles for the pole part, use ratchet straps to the ground with dog stakes.

Hi hint1104. I see it is your 1st post! Welcome.

If you have an electric awning, there are ways to tie it down.

There were a couple members here that were making the parts necessary but sadly, both seem to have moved on. Old Coot & Turbs.

If you do a search for awning tie down you will get lost of hits on past discussions and maybe you will get an idea of what is necessary.

I believe the .PDF file for the brackets from Old Coot is in the Library section at the top of the page. (using a browser)

Here is one such search...
Awning Tie Down

Here is a photo of my awning poles and brackets from Turbs.
They are in the stowed position here and not deployed.

If I can find a photo of them deployed I'll edit this post.

Here is a link to a post from Turbs several years ago showing detailed instructions/photos on how to install an awning tie down kit.
