Question Awning

HELP, I have an electric side awning and the part where it connects to the RV is coming undone, the thread that sew the awning to the part that slides into the grove on the RV is all coming apart. I was thinking of using Flex Seal spray along the edge to see if it would hold. what can I do? any help please?
Also how do I go about replacing the hole awning with one that has the metal edge?

Flex Seal Spray isn't going to do anything.

Can you take a photo of the damages?

I have used Gorilla Tape (it's similar to duct tape) with success for smaller tears (less than 12").

I'd put some Gorilla Tape on there.

It's available in multiple colors and very sticky (and strong).

Make sure you get contact on both sides of the rip and both sides of the fabric.

Limp by for a bit till you can purchase a new one.

Awning...

...probably a good idea to clean the area you'll be applying the Gorilla Tape to with rubbing alcohol first. The tape will be more likely to stick and stay(!)...well, like a Gorilla put it there .

Flex Seal...

Flex Seal will make a screen door float (well, the commercial indicates that it will), but it seems to provide no significant added strength to resist further tearing.

I used some on the roof and it worked, I would glue both sides and then all the stuff would stay together right? Would the tape slip?

Also how and where do I get a new Awning?
